Literacy
Literacy refers to the ability to read, spell and write, and falls under the area of written language. You may notice difficulties with:
- Early phonological awareness skills, such as hearing sounds in words, breaking words into syllables, and rhyming
- Understanding the relationship between sounds and letters
- Reading fluently and accurately
- Understanding and comprehending information that is read
- Spelling words and learning orthographic/letter knowledge
- Constructing and understanding narratives.
